Great Ideas to Make Brushing Your Teeth Fun for Kids Part 3

5-2017-LRPD-#2.jpgAt Little Rockies Pediatric Dentistry we always get asked, “How can I get my child to brush?”  We have some great suggestions for parents that we wanted to share with everyone.  Some of these use imagination are games and might even get you to brush more.  Either way these ideas that we will lay out in a mini blog series will help instill good brushing behaviors that will carry through to adulthood.

The past couple of blog entries we have had have all been focused on making brushing fun.  The idea is to instill good behavior that will leave them with a healthy smile they can be proud of.  This entry we have another fun idea for you parents to try.

Dance and brush to music.  This is a great idea for younger children.  Trust us they will love the interaction they will share with you while you both get down to some fun music.  The iphone has a great app called Brush DJ that will turn your brushing time into fun dance time.  Dance around the bathroom (as long as you maintain proper teeth brushing technique!) and then when the music stops, you’re done brushing your teeth.

We love this app.  Your children will love this app too.  This is a truly fun way to brush your teeth and spend time with your children.
If you have any questions about brushing don't hesitate to give us a call at Little Rockies Pediatric Dentistry.  Our number is (720) 638-6114.  Next month we will suggest more games you can play with your child to enhance brushing.
