Preventive Care

A+ A- A Main Content

It’s so much easier to take steps to prevent any tooth problems for your child, than it is to get these problems corrected! It’ll save your child a lot of unnecessary pain and stress, and it’ll save you a lot of money!

Below are a few ways you can make sure your child has the best oral hygiene possible:

  • Brush your child’s teeth (or make sure they’re brushing their own) at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. When you bring your child in for their regular checkup, our pediatric dentist will make sure you’re aware of any special steps to take based on your child’s age and any special needs they may have.
  • Help your child choose healthy snacks and, if they eat anything too sugary, be sure to brush right after!
  • If your child plays sports, be sure to purchase a mouth guard, which will decrease the risk of injury in the event of an accident.
  • Remember to bring your child in every 3 to 6 month to receive a checkup and an exam!
