Getting your kids to brush and floss is a practice that can sometimes be a little tricky. Kids are moody, and the only way you can get them to listen to you is to make such activities fun and exciting. Let’s look at a few ideas that’ll help you get your kids to brush and floss.

  1. Make it Rewarding

Attaching a reward for doing any activity can make kids very active at doing so. Little kids are innocent and naïve, and making them happy is not so difficult. Just offer a reward that you know your kids will enjoy. The reward can be anything, from watching cartoons before going to bed, reading to them an extra story at bedtime, and promising to make their favorite breakfast in the morning – the incentives are endless.

  1. Let them Choose their Toothpaste

One way of making your kids do what you want is to build hype around it. Make it sound like the most exciting activity in the world. For example, if you want them to brush and floss regularly, get them excited about how fun it is to choose their own flavor of toothpaste and the color of the toothbrush. Then, take them shopping and let them pick out the toothbrush and toothpaste they want. That will get them excited to use it from that night forward.

  1. Make it a Game

What do kids love and enjoy the most? Fun games. So, make brushing and flossing a game or a competition. Indulge in it with them to get them a little hyped about the “game.” Tell them that whoever brushes and flosses first every night will get a prize. This ought to get them to brush and floss regularly every night.
