How Often Should I Be Brushing?

A+ A- A Main Content

Dental hygiene is as important at home as it is in our office. Brushing your teeth is a large part of keeping your mouth healthy. We recommend that you brush at least twice a day.

Most people brush in the morning and at night to maintain good dental hygiene. Some find it beneficial to bring a toothbrush to work and brush after lunch as well. One of the main benefits of brushing is to remove debris and plaque from your mouth before it can turn into tooth decay and cavities. With this in mind, brushing after meals is a good idea to keep your teeth free from decay.

Make sure that you change out your toothbrush as soon as you see the bristles start to fray. You will get the best results from a soft-bristled tooth brush that isn’t worn out.

Brushing your teeth daily is only part of maintaining dental hygiene at home. Remember that you also need to floss each day, eat a healthy diet, and keep up with your regularly scheduled dental cleanings and checkups.
